Richard de Fournival

(c.1190 - 1260)

Trouvère, son of a doctor and half-brother of Bishop Arnoul of Amiens. He was chancellor of Amiens Cathedral from 1246. Twenty of his poems survive and six melodies. He also wrote an allegorical tract on Love and an erotic poem in Latin.
