Italian composer; worked as a music
teacher at various Florentine churches 1350-70. The authors he
drew on for the texts of his secular pieces include Boccaccio;
his secular output includes five
ballate,
a lively
caccia
(
A poste messe
), and ten 2-part madrigals, of which
Da da a chi avareggia
is very florid with virtuoso ornamentation and much use of
imitation. One Sanctus also survives.
