Franco-Flemish composer. He is one of the three composers said by Martin le Franc in Le Champion des Dames (c1440) to have ³astonished all Paris² with their music before that of Dunstable and Dufay had reached the city (the others were Cesaris and Tapissier). He is known today only by his sacred music, mainly traditional isorhythmic motets, sometimes employing a fast parlando style in the upper parts; the text of one motet refers to the Papal schism.
