Johannes de Sarto

(15th C)

Franco-Flemish composer. Originally a priest from Liège, he became a member of the Papal choir in Rome. His motet O quam amabilis stands comparison with the works of Dunstable and Dufay, and his ornamental writing for upper voices recalls the style of the former.
