Italian organist and composer. Initially at the church of S. Leonardo in Venice, in 1490 he became the first holder of the second organist's post at St Mark's, An early writer of frottolas, published in Petrucci 's collections, he was the most important Venetian composer of his time; one of Petrucci's volumes of Lamentations contains a notable Passio Sacra (not a true Passion setting).
