Joan Ambrosio Dalza

(fl. 1508)

Italian lutenist, working in Milan. In 1508 he published a lute book with transcriptions of frottolas, improvisatory ricercars to be used as preludes to them, and dances. The dances are arranged in miniature suites of a pavane followed by a saltarello and piva which are thematically related to it.
