Guillaume de Morlaye

(c.1515 - after 1560)


French lutenist. Said to have engaged in the slave trade, he was a pupil of Albert de Rippe , whose music he published with his own in six volumes between 1553 and 1558. He also published dances and his own arrangements for voice and lute of Certon 's psalm-settings; he wrote for guitar as well as lute.
