Italian composer, born in Naples; a pupil of Palestrina. Between 1575 and 1595 maestro di cappellasuccessively at St John Lateran, the German College and S. Maria Maggiore in Rome; at some time in the late 1570s he was Polish court Kapellmeisterin Kraków. He published three volumes of motets in the Roman style and three of madrigals, including a joint publication with Giovanni Maria Nanino.
