Franco-Flemish composer. A pupil of Philippe de Monte, he entered Imperial service in 1569 as choirmaster at the monastery of Melk, belonged to the archducal court at Graz in 1582, and his final post was as court Kapellmeisterin Prague. His German songs published in 1602 show the influence of Regnart (two of whose works he includes) and are in canzonettastyle.
