English composer. He was organist and choirmaster at Ely cathedral in 1610-41, and was a competent composer of church music, producing Anglican service music and anthems, and publishing Sacred Hymns of 3, 4, 5, and 6 parts for Voyces and Vyols (1615) which are in a largely syllabic style.
