English composer. Four pieces survive,of which one is merely the lower half of an incomplete duet. The two earliest known duets at a keyboard are by Carleton and Thomas Tomkins, and are to be found in the same MS source as Philip ap Rhys' organ-Mass. Companion of Thomas Tompkins (?)
