Probably the oldest composer in the Gyffard partbooks, having graduated Doctor of Music at Cambridge in 1502; his work is a rather old-fashioned Gloria in excelsisfor boys' voices. He also has rounds in a MS (add. MS 31922) that also contains similar works by Henry VIII and Thomas Fardyng. From 1516 in the service of William Warham, Archbishop of Canterbury (1504-32).
