Welsh composer. A priest at the Chapel Royal in 1505, he served the parish of Munslow in Shropshire for some years before accompanying Henry VIII to the Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520, thereafter making a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. His Mass O quam suavis is based on a very long chant, and the arrangement of notes in the tenor can only be determined by solving some very complex numerical puzzles. Gentleman of the Chapel Royal 1509-23.
