Thomas Mulliner

(1520?-1590s?)

English organist, best known as compiler of The Mulliner Book. No original keyboard works by him are known. From some time in the 1550s, Master of Choristers of St Paul's Cathedral. In 1563 he was modulator organorum at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. He was an associate of Blitheman in Oxford, possible student, or associate of John Redford at St Paul's Cathedral. There survive arrangements assumed to be his work of pieces by Richard Edwards, Robert Johnson (1), William Mundy, Newman,John Sheppard, Thomas Tallis, John Taverner, Christopher Tye, and Robert Whyte.
