'Forty Wayes of 2 pts. in one' is found in a British Museum MS, canonic settings of Miserere. Only twenty are in fact written down. Thomas Tomkins wrote in the MS: 'the rest of these wayes are prickt in my morleys Introduction'; but they are not to be found in his copy of Morley's Plaine and Easy Introduction to Musickenow in the Oxford, Magdalen College Library.
