Orazio Tarditi

(1602-1677)

Italian composer, born in Rome. Little is known of Tarditi other than that he travelled much of norther Italy in his career as a church musician, finishing at Faenza as choirmaster (1647-1670). He left a large output, including concertato motets, Masses and psalms, continuo madrigals, canzonets and solo arias.
