Spanish composer. He directed the music at the cathedral of Lerida before entering the service of the Infantas Maria and Joanna, daughters of the Emperor Felipe II (1527-1611) . Taught music to the daughters of Charles V, and composed ensaladas, which were gathered together and published in Prague in 1581 by his nephew, Mateo Flecha the Younger .The majority of his works can be found in the Cancionero del Duque de Calabria (Venice, 1556). His sacred music was published in part by Fuenllana in his Orphenica Lira.
