Spanish composer and priest. Maestro de capilla at Badajoz cathedral from 1545 and later served a succession of Spanish noblemen. Most of his output is secular, including two published volumes of ingeniously written villancicos; he also published a setting of the Office of the Dead in alternating plainsong and polyphony.
